  • IATLC members, please join us in Spokane Valley for the WAFLT Fall Conference at the regular WAFLT member price.

WAFLT 2025 Fall Conference

Advocate, Inspire, Sustain: The Future of World Languages

  • Registration Deadlines: Register by October 11th to ensure meals.
  • Important: If you are an office manager or department chair who wants to register 1 or more participants, please follow these steps. 
  • Session proposals are now closed. $100 registration for Session Presenters who are current WAFLT members. Presenters will receive a special registration code when their session has been approved.
  • DRAFT conference schedule and session descriptions Sessions will be updated as they are approved.  

WAFLT is excited to invite you to an EAST-side Fall Conference at Ridgeline High School.  CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE: Check back on October 1st. (A hotel block with a nightly rate of $149 may re-open October 1st at the Mirabeau Park Hotel and Convention Center.)  Hampton Inn & Suites Spokane Valley has available rooms starting at $132 and is not far from the Mirabeau/Ridgeline HS.

The Spokane airport is located 21 miles from the conference location. WAFLT will provide a shuttle to/from the airport and to Ridgeline HS to those who fly in.

WAFLT has not had a conference east of the Cascades since 2019. To maintain equitable access to conference participation, WAFLT commits to hosting conferences around the state.

Meals

Register by October 11th to Ensure Meals. Any conference registrations received after October 11th will not include meals. We will update the menu in August. Please note, we will not be able to accommodate all restrictions and allergies. 

Hotel

Please plan to stay at the conference hotel. We have arranged a special room rate for conference attendees. WAFLT has secured a block of hotel rooms at the Mirabeau Park Hotel and Convention Center (10 minutes from Ridgeline High School) for $149/night. Please use this link to reserve your room at this special rate.

ASL Interpretation

If ASL interpretation is required, please mark it in the registration page. Conference organizers must know if this is a requirement before September 23rd.

Refunds for Cancellations

A $20 processing fee applies for cancellations made before October 4th. No refunds will be issued if cancellation is requested after October 4th.

If you are unable to attend the conference, WAFLT will not be able to refund the meals.
