Base fee:
  • IATLC members, please join us in Yakima for the WAFLT Fall Conference at the regular WAFLT member price.

    Current IATLC members can email: wafltboard@gmail.com for a special registration code.

    Not a member of IATLC? Join your state organization and connect with the language advocates of your state!
  • WAFLT looks to support post-secondary student participation in its conferences and offers this rate to encourage engagement with language educators.

    This registration is available to current post-secondary students at the technical, community, or 4-year levels. This includes student teachers.

    To receive the registration code, please send an email to wafltboard@gmail.com via your school email and a short description of your status in school.

    This registration price does NOT include meals, but you can add them on for an additional cost.

WAFLT 2026 Fall Conference

Theme: Cultivating Connections: Growing Global Citizens Through Languages

  • When: October 17th-18th, 2026
  • Registration: If you are a current member, please do not not create a new account, contact WAFLT for a password reminder. 
  • If you are not a current member, please join before registering. Your membership supports equal registration rates for all. 
  • Prices: See prices in the left column for WAFLT members, students, and retired members.
    • Session presenters: $125 - The Call for Session Proposals is now open. When your session is approved, you will receive a registration code. Please wait to register until you receive the code.
    • Early bird rate: $150 - June 1st - August 3rd
    • Regular rate: $175 - August 4th-October 16. 
    • Important: If you are an office manager or department chair who wants to register 1 or more participants, please follow these steps. 
    • Registration Deadlines: 
      • Register by October 1st to ensure meals.
      • Onsite registration will be available, but meals will not be included. 

    McAllister Field (Yakima airport) is served by Alaska Airlines with flights from SeaTac.

    Meals

    Register by October 1st to ensure meals. Any conference registrations received after October 1st will not include meals. Please note, we will not be able to accommodate all restrictions and allergies. 

    *Saturday meals:

    • Light continental breakfast (pastries, bagels, juices) with coffee/tea service
    • Sit-down, plated lunch: Chicken dish and vegetarian risotto

    *Sunday meals

    • Light continental breakfast (pastries, muffins juices) with coffee/tea service
    • Boxed sandwich lunch (vegetarian option) with chips and cookie

    Lodging

    We have arranged a special room rate for conference attendees at two hotels. These hotel rates are available until October 2nd or until all of the rooms have been booked. 

    Holiday Inn Yakima - $130

    1 King (15 total available) or 2 Queen Rooms (10 total available)

    Second hotel to be confirmed.



    ASL Interpretation services

    If ASL interpretation is required, please mark it in the registration page. Conference organizers must know if this is a requirement before September 23rd. Please note, WAFLT is a non-profit organization and may not be able to fully support ASL interpretation. We will make every attempt to meet your needs, but may request your support in identifying interpreters. 

    Refunds for cancellation 

    A $20 processing fee applies for cancellations made before October 4th. No refunds will be issued if cancellation is requested after October 4th.

    If you are unable to attend the conference, WAFLT will not be able to refund the meals.
